I have been active in some sort of activity my whole life from baseball, football, to wrestling and after high school in softball. After graduating from Coldwater HS in 1997, I got into the lifting scene, or bodybuilding, if you would say. I did that for a solid 15 years until I slowly started to get burned out of the same routine, day in and day out. I never thought about doing CrossFit – I always doubted it.
Sort of like the doubt Hulk Hogan had at Wrestlemania 3 when he body-slammed the seventh wonder of the world, Andre-the-Giant.
When I finally hit a wall I decided to give CrossFit a try and on July 31, 2012 I did my first WOD and have loved it ever since. I couldn’t imagine ever going back to “Bi’s & Tri’s” or “back day” ever again! CrossFit is a challenge every day and that’s what I love about it; it is strength and cardio all in one. CrossFit offers that challenge or rush, if you will…
Like… remember when… Rocky had to go to Russia when the East met the West and had to fight Ivan Drago? It’s just like that, so give it a try; you don’t know what might happen.
I would also like to mention I have been married to my beautiful wife Kristin for 11 years and have two beautiful kids: Caley (8 years old) and Luke (3 years old).
